What is Human Factors?
Human Factors is an approach to human performance that applies the knowledge of human behavior to the design, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of products, systems and environment. Human Factors professionals come from many majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Anthropology, Gerontology, Design, Medical Systems, etc.
Our goal is to learn to apply human factor principles to designing jobs, consumer products, workplaces, and equipment in order to reflect the individual’s information needs, sensory and mental capabilities and physical characteristics.
